Construction has officially begun on Phase 1a (see photos below!), so your participation in Operation 2012 in order to provide additional space for our growing church family is needed right now! It will create facility space for a large area for 100 people for classes, choir, small funerals, and weddings. It also provides for 3 additional multipurpose rooms, storage and staging, and the renovation of existing classroom space to create offices for current and new staff. (It’s getting pretty crowded back here!) Even more exciting is also the installation of a 500 KW generator system which will power our entire building should the power go out (which has happened 423 times since we opened!!)
‘Operation 2012’ is how this is getting done. Individual donors committing and giving $20.12 a month for three consecutive months (June, July, and August). Will you help? A husband and wife would be two people. You can give as much as you are led to do.
Our Sky VBS is almost here (starts Monday, June 25!) Let’s cheer on all our VBS servants and participants. You will love the Sky décor that is already going up throughout our building!
Hope you have Whitewater Day at Stickers Grove on your calendar! It is Sunday afternoon/evening, August 5. Paula Stefanovich will be returning that weekend to lead worship and also do a concert with our choir out at Stricker’s Grove that evening. Watch for details in the bulletin, blog, and website.
Thanks for the affirming words and emails of encouragement regarding our new weekend series on Countering Cultural Deceptions. Last weekend’s message on “I Can Worship My Way” had many things we can all apply to worship services – maybe even this coming weekend! This weekend we continue with “I Am What I Own” and it should be another ‘get –to’ opportunity to grow and experience God. Join us. With a friend!
This week is also a milestone for the Vaughan family. It was 10 years ago that we arrived in Cincinnati to begin ministry with the Westwood-Cheviot Church of Christ, now Whitewater Crossing Christian Church…and after a decade of highs & lows, we remain confident we are just where God wants us to be. Thanks for allowing, and encouraging, us to pursue God’s calling. Can’t wait to see what He does next.
P.S. Got word that the July 15 Starting Point class has been cancelled. There are 2 more in August to sign up for (Thursday, August 2 from 6 to 9pm, and Saturday, August 18 from 9am to noon).
